It’s been a week filled with high-end watches. As the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie comes to an end in Geneva today, we decided to take a look at some of the highlights of the annual horlogerie event.
The Rotonde de Cartier Astromystérieux plays with gravity: the hands of the watch float weightlessly within the dial, seemingly disconnected from any mechanics. An innovative new watch with a diameter of 43.5mm, the Astromystérieux is part of a limited series of a 100 pieces.

2016 is a special year for Montblanc, as the brand celebrates its 110th anniversary. The luxury manufacturer’s standout piece for SIHH was part of the Villeret collection: the Tourbillon Cylindrique pocketwatch, a limited edition of eight pieces. For true seafarers, the pocketwatch can be placed on a navigator watch, an impressive 93cm stand to store it on.

This year IWC Schaffhausen focused on its aviation heritage and updated its Pilot watch collection, which spans from IWC Big Pilot’s Heritage Watch to Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36, without forgetting special editions “Antoine de Saint Exupéry” and “Le Petit Prince”. With its range of different models, the Pilot collection is bound to include timepieces to please all tastes.

Vacheron Constantin
Swiss watch manufacturer Vacheron Constantin introduced the new Overseas collection at SIHH, a sports watch that celebrates the spirit of travel. Amongst other models, the range includes a chronograph as well as a ladies watch.

Jaeger LeCoultre
Meanwhile Jaeger LeCoultre decided to look beyond the world of horlogerie by collaborating with high-end designer Christian Louboutin. To celebrate the 85th anniversary of its famous Reverso, LeCoultre asked Louboutin to design a range of seven dials and nine straps for the timepiece.
This selection is a but a mere overview of what SIHH had to offer. What timepieces do you think stood at this year’s SIHH?
