As Creative Director of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld has always had a list of muses that represent the brand, from actresses such as Keira Knightley to top models including Gisele Bundchen and Alexa Chung.

There’s now a new addition to the luxury fashion house’s girl gang, as Chanel has just revealed the latest face for its latest eyewear campaign. The Pearl collection is modeled by Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of actor Johnny Depp and French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis. She is seen sporting the round glasses, and also appears in a short video clip.

The 16 year-old has found herself in the limelight recently, having made her first public appearances at fashion shows in the past year. She attended the Chanel Métiers d’Arts show in April, followed by an appearance at luxury fashion house’s gambling tables alongside other celebrities during the Haute-Couture show earlier this month. Although still only 16, Depp is already piling up the projects. Going down the same path as her parents, she is to star in a couple upcoming films (not to mention a music video) as well as recently modeling an editorial in Oyster magazine. However, Chanel’s Pearl is her first campaign for a fashion house.

Lily Rose Depp follows in the footsteps of her mother, Vanessa Paradis, who has worked with Chanel since the nineties, most recently appearing in the campaign  for the Girl bag, along with Kristen Stewart and Alice Dellal. With Paradis and Depp being such firm favourites of the fashion world, how long will it be before they star in a mother-daughter campaign we wonder?
