Fans of Balmain will be delighted to learn that H&M is joining forces with the luxury fashion label this Autumn.

High-street retailer H&M has been collaborating with luxury fashion for over a decade, having produced different capsule collections by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander Wang and more. These collaborations have come to be eagerly anticipated, since they enable fans of high-end brands to buy into luxury at high-street prices.

Olivier Rousteing, Balmain’s Creative Director, will design the 11th collection for H&M. News of the collaboration was unveiled at the Billboards Music Awards, which Rousteing attended in company of his model friends Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn. Both models wore pieces from his upcoming capsule collection for the Swedish retailer, for a taster of what the collection will look like.
The luxury fashion label’s young designer, who has a large following on Instagram, took to the social media platform to post about the news using the hashtag #HMBalmaination, which is being used to promote the collection.

Rousteing became the Balmain’s Creative Director in 2011, and has since gone on to acquire a large following. Talking about the project with H&M, Rousteing explained: “I want to talk to my generation: this is my main aim as a designer. H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain.” The capsule will include both menswear and womenswear, as well as shoes and accessories.

The H&M collection will launch globally (online and in 250 stores) on the 5th November 2015. If past collaborations are anything to go by, we expect there to be long queues.
