Karl Lagerfeld possibly has the most extensive CV known to man, having turned his hand to a whole roster of projects from fashion design to photography. And it looks like he’s got more up his sleeve, with his latest venture.

The fashion designer is now planning to planning to go into children’s fashion, as he is to add a line for children to his Karl Lagerfeld label. The line will be produced joint with the Groupe CWF, who also work on the childrenswear lines for Chloé and Marc Jacobs. There will be two collections a year, for children up until the age of 16, which will be available in the key markets including Europe and the Middle East.

Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of the Karl Lagerfeld label commented: "The Karl Lagerfeld kidswear collection presents a unique opportunity to share our cool, iconic DNA with a wider audience"

He has already designed some childrenswear as part of his main collections for Chanel, with his god-son Hudson Kroenig appearing on the runway at the Chanel Métiers D’Arts shows, as well as in the latest Cruise campaign for the luxury label. However this marks his full line of clothing for children.

Once the collection hits the stores, there are bound to be some stylish children out there.
