Morgan Hotels Group has launched its latest hotel, adding to an already vast collection of hotels, with the opening of Delano Las Vegas. Located at the heart of Mandalay Bay resort, the refurbished building opened on the 3rd of September, to reveal its newly designed 1117 suites. The conversion of the original TheHotel that was located in the building, saw an $80 million refurbishment transform the space into a Casino-free hotel, with 43 floors, 28 penthouses, and star chef Alain Ducasse’s restaurant crowning the building (which is to be transformed into Rivea next year). The Delano Las Vegas combines the high-end concept design of its sibling hotel in South Beach, with understated sophistication, in contrast with Las Vegas’ extravagant Strip, and offers spectacular views over the surrounding Las Vegas valley.
Morgan Hotels Group Co., whose roster of Delano, Mondrian, Hudson and Originals Hotels span the globe, with branches in New York, San Francisco and London, plans to expand further afield with new openings in Istanbul, Qatar and Moscow. The next Morgan Hotels Group opening is to be the Mondrian London, whose launch is announced for the end of the month, and is to house 359 suites on London’s South Bank.
